DAY 1 : NEGOMBO
Upon arrival at Katunayaka Airport, we will warmly welcome you and take you to your hotel in Negombo for a well-deserved rest after a long flight. Overnight stay at Jetwing Beach or a similar hotel in Negombo.
DAY 2 : WALIGAMA
After a delicious breakfast, we will drive you safely to your hotel in Weligama. On the way, you can enjoy a boat safari in the scenic Madhu River and visit the turtle hatchery in Kosgoda. You can also choose to visit the Museum of Martin Wickramasinghe, one of Sri Lanka’s greatest writers, or head straight to your hotel. DAY 3: WALIGAMA – MIRISSA
Day three begins with an early 6:00 am start to drive you to Mirissa Beach. Here, you will experience an unforgettable 3-4 hour boat ride to the deep sea, where you can watch whales and dolphins. Afterward, you can relax and unwind on the beach. Overnight stay at Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa or a similar hotel in Weligama.
DAY 4: YALA
On day four, after breakfast, we will drive you to your residence in Yala to join the evening Jeep safari at Yala National Park. Yala is home to the second-largest wildlife reserve in Sri Lanka, with a high density of leopards, making it a popular tourist attraction. If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of these elusive creatures. Overnight stay at Jetwing Yala or a similar hotel in Tissamaharama.
DAY 5 : HAPUTHALE
Day five takes you to Haputale, where you will see the historical and impressive Rawana Ella. Afterward, you will check into your hotel and head to see the stunning Bambarakanda, the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. You will also get to visit the lesser-known but equally beautiful Upper Diyaluma or jungle waterfall. Overnight stay at Living Heritage Koslanda or a similar hotel in Haputale.
DAY 6 : NUWARA ELIYA
Embark on a scenic journey to Kandy, where you can witness breathtaking landscapes and magnificent waterfalls along the way. The upland tea estates in Nuwara Eliya are a highlight, with vast areas dedicated to high-quality tea plantations. Make a stop at the Macwoods tea factory, where you can learn about the entire tea processing procedure and discover the different tea varieties based on taste and quality. Purchase fresh tea products from the factory outlet as a memento of your visit. End the day at Ambuluwawa, a green hilly area rich in biodiversity. A man-made viewpoint tower at the top of the mountain offers a 360-degree view gallery of the surrounding scenery. Stay overnight at the Mahaweli Reach or a similar hotel in Kandy.
DAY 7 : KANDY
Start the day with a 9:00 a.m. pick-up from your Kandy hotel and head straight to the Royal Botanical Garden, a colorful paradise with more than 4000 varieties of flower plants, herbal plants, endemic and epidemic plant species, and palm trees. In the evening, enjoy a Kandyan dancing event between 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, where the most sacred molar tooth of Lord Buddha is housed in seven golden caskets under a golden ceiling. Stay overnight at the Mahaweli Reach or a similar hotel in Kandy.
DAY 8 : POLONNARUWA
Explore Polonnaruwa during the evening, once the capital of Sri Lanka for about 200 years before the kingdom was transferred to Dambadeniya and Polonnaruwa was conquered by Indian king Kalinga Magha. Visit the archaeological museum, royal palace, audience hall, swimming pool, sacred quadrangle, Shiva Devale, Pabalu Vihara, Rankot Vihara, Kiri Vihara, Buddha statue at Lankatilaka, and Buddha figures at Gal Vihara. It takes approximately 5-6 hours to visit the entire kingdom in Polonnaruwa. Stay overnight at the Hotel Sudu Araliya or a similar hotel in Polonnaruwa
DAY 9 : SIGIRIYA
Start the day at 8:00 a.m. and visit the eighth wonder of the world, Sigiriya. This isolated rock kingdom is over 200 meters in height and features huge walls, water canals, security guard rooms, natural stoned arches, mirror stones, and world-famous Sigiri paintings. Your second destination is a village tour to experience ancient village life and their day-to-day activities. Enjoy catamaran rides, bullock carriage rides, walks through paddy fields, and a cookery demonstration on traditional Sri Lankan foods. End the day with a traditional meal and stay overnight at the Hotel Sigiriya or a similar hotel in Sigiriya
DAY 10 : DAMBULLA
Experience a thrilling hot air balloon ride over the jungle, geographical beauties, lakes, wildlife habitats, and ancient villages. Dambulla is an iconic place that offers safe and enjoyable hot air balloon rides under the supervision of an internationally recognized institution with well-qualified and skillful staff. The pilot will guide you for a safe and enjoyable ride throughout the hour-long flight. You will be dropped off at the airport according to your flight departure time
