Day 1: Negombo- Wilpattu
- A representative from Lanka Tour Experts will greet you at your hotel in Colombo or upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport. We’ll then embark on a 3.5-hour journey to Wilpattu.
- Along the way, we’ll stop to visit the Munneswaram Hindu Temple, a serene and sacred site.
- Explore the Anawilundawa Sanctuary, a beautiful wetland teeming with wildlife in northwestern Sri Lanka.
- Overnight stay near Wilpattu National Park.
Day 2: Wilpattu- Dambulla
- Start your day with an exciting morning wildlife safari in Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest national park.
- Experience local village life with a tour by bike or car, immersing yourself in the community.
- Head to Dambulla for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Dambulla -Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa
- Rise early for a hike to Pidurangala, offering stunning sunrise views of Sigiriya Rock and the landscape.
- Enjoy breakfast back at the hotel.
- Discover the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Return to Dambulla for the night.
Day 4: Sigiriya – Trincomalee
- Climb the iconic Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Experience local culture on the Sigiriya village tour, including a traditional lunch buffet.
- Visit the scenic Kandalama Lake.
- Continue to Trincomalee, famous for its pristine beaches and historic Fort Frederick.
Day 5: Trincomalee
- After breakfast, snorkel at Pigeon Island National Park, known for its vibrant coral reefs and marine life.
- Spend the rest of the day relaxing on Trincomalee’s beautiful beaches.
- Discover Marble Beach and explore the historic Trincomalee Harbour.
- Overnight stay in Trincomalee.
Day 6: Trincomalee – Gal Oya
- Visit the Koneswaram Temple atop Swami Rock for panoramic ocean views.
- Explore Trincomalee on a city tour, enjoying its natural beauty and historic sites.
- Proceed to Gal Oya for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Gal Oya
- Take a boat safari in Watawanna, Gal Oya National Park, to see wildlife up close, including swimming elephants and hunting crocodiles.
- Hike to the Buddangala rock monastery in Ampara.
- Overnight stay in Gal Oya.
Day 8: Gal Oya – Mahiyanganaya – Ella
- Visit the Vedda tribal community in Mahiyanganaya to learn about their traditional way of life.
- Continue to Ella and visit Kithal Ella Falls.
- Overnight stay in Ella.
Day 9: Ella – Haputale – Ella
- Hike to Little Adam’s Peak for breathtaking views.
- Visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge and the beautiful Ravana Falls.
- Explore Haputale, including Adisham Bungalow, St. Clair’s Waterfalls, and Lipton’s Seat viewpoint.
- Return to Ella for the night.
Day 10: Ella – Nuwara Eliya
- Enjoy a scenic train journey from Ella to Nanu Oya, passing through rolling hills and lush tea plantations.
- Explore Nuwara Eliya, known for its colonial charm and cool climate. Visit Gregory Lake, Victoria Park, and other landmarks.
- Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 11: Nuwara Eliya – Kandy
- Trek in Horton Plains National Park, visiting Baker’s Falls and the Great World’s End.
- Visit Ramboda Falls and stop by a tea factory and plantation to learn about Sri Lankan tea production.
- In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and enjoy a traditional dance show.
- Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 12: Kandy – Mirissa
- Visit the Ambuluwawa Biodiversity Complex and climb the Ambuluwawa Tower for stunning views.
- Explore the Peradeniya Botanical Garden.
- Continue to Mirissa for an overnight stay.
Day 13: Mirissa – Galle
- Begin the day with a whale and dolphin watching tour in Mirissa.
- Relax on the beaches of Galle, such as Kabalana Beach, Wijaya Beach, and Jungle Beach. Enjoy activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming.
- Overnight stay in Galle.
Day 14: Galle – Airport
- Visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda on Rumassala Mountain early in the morning for a breathtaking sunrise view.
- Return to the hotel for breakfast.
- Our driver will take you to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your unforgettable 14-day journey through Sri Lanka.
